Meet Daran

Daran (pronounced DAH-ran) Reinholm is the guiding spirit behind our wonderful docent program. A long-time Woodside resident, she has been the Friends' Program Coordinator since March of 2005. She is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and management of our Docent Program and Community Participation Days in the parks.

Daran loves to hike and enrich children's experience in nature.  Her initiative and enthusiasm in working with children, parents, park rangers, volunteer organizations, and schools have had a significant impact on our goal of building an appreciation for the parks. She's great fun to be around and provides support and leadership for our docents.

Daran earned a BS in Industrial Engineering and left her high tech career after the birth of her second child. She served as VP, President, and board member for the Woodside Parents Nursery School. In addition to her work with the Friends, she is active in the Woodside School PTA, Canada 4H, and local Girl Scout Troops.
