The Folger Stable provides an opportunity, with its listing on the National Register of Historic Places for the community to preserve this beautiful one-of-a-kind building and honor an important chapter in Woodside's history that helped establish many historic values still embraced today. These tangible reminders of our history give us a "sense of place" and are touchstones of reality for young and old.

We have received broad-based support from individuals, foundations, and corporations. San Mateo County has also pledged $500,000 in in-kind services to assist with drainage, paddocks, paving, permitting, and other county requirements.

The educational programs for children and adults to be offered at the Stable will be developed during the renovation phase and implemented as soon as possible after all construction is completed.
